Can you believe we are merely weeks away from the start of the Women’s Euros? A Summer of women’s football and I for one, can not wait.
Before Sarina and her squad head off to Switzerland. Nike have revealed the 2025 England Women’s Football kits and to be honest they are a bit of a surprise.
Quoting from Nike “each kit pays tribute to England teams and their victories of the past.” Nike claim the new kits are inspired by the concept of “deeds, not words”. With the home kit paying homage to the Lionesses that came before them, with the shifts in colour in honour of those incredible pioneers of the game in the 70’s and 80’s. Nike also gives an unsurprising nod to the victorious Lionesses of Euros 2022, whilst acknowledging the future generations of women players, with a lean to a more modern style and feel.
Available to purchase from Thursday 29th May, along with further apparel and lifestyle accessories added in the coming weeks. I’m looking forwards to seeing the kits in real life, but for now, lets delve a little deeper at the home, away and goalkeeper kits Nike has revealed so far.

Home Kit
The home kit is certainly a lot brighter in colour that I was expected and from reactions on social media, I don’t think I was alone in thinking so. The white shirt has quite the splash of vibrant reds and blue hues and at first glance you might be forgiven in thinking this belonged on one of the U.S.A olympics team. There has been talk of its similarity to the Englands mens 1982 kit and although my initial response on seeing this for the first time was a bit ‘meh’, I do think this will grow on me, anyone else?

Away Kit
I think I actually prefer the away kit to the home kit at first glance, but maybe that’s because I tend to prefer my home kits with more of a simpler retro feel. The away kit is black with the vibrant splash of reds and blue colours as side panels. Now I was a huge huge fan of the blue away kit during the last Women’s World Cup. I do like this and I feel this kit does have that fresh, modern feel to it which I can see appealing to a younger audience.

Goal Keepers
Glad to see Nike have learnt their lesson when it comes to the goal keepers shirts. And whilst I personally still prefer the World Cup green goalkeeper shirt as my all time favourite, I do feel the 2025 is not bad at all. It has a nice retro feel to it and I love the green shirt option for a goalkeeper. Lets just hope they stock enough ‘Earps’ shirts this time, as I for one shall be trying to get my hands on this.
According to Nike, “all of the kits are made with the best of Nike’s material innovation, Dri-FIT ADV, which moves sweat away from the skin for quicker evaporation — helping athletes stay cool, dry, comfortable and focused.”

Overall, I do feel like the home kit will grow on me, especially once we see all the lionesses playing together on the pitches of Switzerland and the tournament gets underway. The green goalkeeper shirt is my favourite, closely followed by the away kit. Of course, that all may chance once I see the items in the flesh.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Women’s England 2025 kit..is it love, a bit ‘meh’, or a grower for you?
