What a season it has been. Sonia Bompastor’s first in charge and she only goes and wins the treble. Not only that but Chelsea women were undefeated domestically all season. What a way to make an entrance after such an incredible Emma Hayes legacy.
At times it may not have been pretty, with 1-0 here and 1-0 there, but who is complaining when results are results. And after today’s electric 3-0 win over Manchester United in front of over 760000 at Wembley, showing on BBC1, I really hope the players get a moment to take in just what an incredible achievement they have reached. And also just how far the Women’s game has come.
With the Euros just around the corner, whilst the Season may be finished, there’s still a Summer packed full of women’s football ahead. Including the intriguing 7 a side tournament (I’m personally glad Chelsea are sitting this one out) and the small matter of the Arsenal vs Barcelona Champion’s League final. Women’s football continues to make great waves.

Looking back over the Season and as a fan of the blues, we’ve had an array of fantastic signings, the incredible Lucy Bronze, Keira Walsh, Julia Bartel, Oriane Jean-François, Maelys Mpomé, Naomi Girma and one of my stand out players of the Season, Sandy Baltimore. It’s hard to imagine life at Chelsea without some of these players now. Shout outs to Erin Cuthbert, Natalie Björn, Hannah Hampton and such a young and exciting talent with Aggie Beever-Jones who have all been incredible this Season. And of course our captain, the mighty Millie Bright, it just wouldn’t be Chelsea without her.

I can’t wait for next season when we have a (hopefully) fully fit squad, with Sam Kerr returning, plus others, and one of my favourite players Lauren James back to her magician self….’Chelsea invincible’ might just become a running theme.
